13th Nuclear Receptor Meeting>

Welcome!

Welcome to the 13th Nuclear Receptor Conference, a premier gathering in the heart of Europe at Strasbourg!

Conference Overview

The Nuclear Receptor Meeting, established in France in 2011, brings together each year the scientific community specializing in nuclear receptor research, including students and postdoctoral fellows from French and European laboratories. Owing to the geographic and cultural proximity of the IGBMC, the 13th edition of the meeting will place special emphasis on welcoming participants from German laboratories.

Originating from the need for more frequent interactions outside large international congresses, the Nuclear Receptor Meeting is held each year in a different city to broaden participation and foster collaborations. To make the event accessible, presentations are in English and the program emphasizes contributions from young scientists.

The conference serves three main goals:

Each year, distinguished speakers deliver plenary lectures, providing overarching perspectives, while most talks are dedicated to student research.

This year, discussion topics will include:

  1. Nuclear receptors in development and physiological processes
  2. Integrative molecular and structural studies of nuclear receptor action.
  3. Pathophysiology of nuclear receptors and medical implications (focused on cancer, neurodevelopmental and metabolic diseases)

A Unique Location at the Heart of Europe!

This year, the Nuclear Receptor Meeting will take place in Strasbourg, a vibrant European capital ideally located at the crossroads of France, Germany, and Switzerland. Situated on the French-German border and only a short distance from Basel and major European research hubs, Strasbourg offers a truly international setting that naturally fosters cross-border scientific exchange.

Home to major European institutions and a long-standing tradition of academic excellence, Strasbourg combines historical heritage with cutting-edge research and innovation. Its strategic position in the Upper Rhine region makes it a dynamic environment for collaborative science.

The meeting will be hosted at IGBMC (Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology), one of Europe’s leading research centers in molecular and cellular biology. Renowned for its excellence in genetics, structural biology, genomics, and translational research, IGBMC provides a highly interdisciplinary environment that promotes innovation and scientific dialogue. Its strong international network and state-of-the-art facilities make it an ideal venue for advancing research in nuclear receptor biology.

We look forward to welcoming you to Strasbourg for a scientifically stimulating and culturally enriching experience at the heart of Europe.
